Creative Networks is an internal organisation within LCA that works to organise a series of talks from professional creatives across all different mediums. Previous guest speakers have included Jimmy Choo and David Shrigley. An upcoming event at the end of May will include a talk from Frances Morris, the first British and first female director and curator of the Tate Modern.
Creatives Networks has had a long partnership with NEST magazine, providing editors with the opportunity to interview guest speakers and use the interview as material in future issues of the magazine. I was contacted by Creative Networks and given the opportunity to interview Frances Morris. This will allow me to strengthen my skills for engaging with the creative industry while allowing me to engage with one of the most influential women in the world of curation, an interest of mine which I keen to explore further. This will also allow me to create a potentially valuable contact that could be utilised again in the future.
