OUGD502 - Studio Brief 01 - NEST Issue 11 Theme and Open Submissions

Following on from issue 10 of NEST, a new theme had to be set for the new issue. Discussing ideas with peers it was clear that people wanted a theme that could allow them to make work that was more specific to the magazine. With this in mind, I set the theme of Space, as this could be interpreted both broadly as the concept of space, or more specifically as outer space, architectural space, personal space etc.

To promote the opening of submissions a series of posters were made, loosely based around the idea of outer space but remaining vague enough to encourage all types of submissions.

A square format version was also created for use across social media:

Submission were extended until the 31st March to allow as many students as possible to create and submit work around their courses.
