OUGD502 - Studio Brief 02 - Interview Physical Work Ideas

Once the answers to the questions had been received I began to generate ideas as to how to present the interview in a physical format.

An initial idea was to turn the text into a publication to showcase the interview, as both myself and Will have an interest in publication design:

A secondary idea was to take influences from Will's own work, in particularly his project titles Flags For The Forgotten. In this project Will made a series of flags to represent marginalised communities, including the disabled and immigrant communities. Using the concept, the idea was to create a flag design to represent each of the topics discussed during the course of the interview.

Presenting these idea in a group critique, it was suggested that both ideas combined could work well to physically embody the project as both are relevant contextually. The publication would provide a clear format in which to present the interview, whereas the flags would provide a unique addition that would allow me to explore different materials that can be used alongside graphic design.
